Hayward Tyler Inc and its sister firm Energy Steel have been awarded multi-million dollar contracts to help the ITER project in France.

Hayward Tyler’s contract covers variable drive booster pumps whereas Energy Steel will supply 62 solenoid valve and cubicle packages.
The ITER venture is a joint worldwide analysis and improvement challenge to reveal the scientific and technical feasibility of fusion energy. The demonstration facility is beneath construction in St-Paul-lez-Durance in France, and will be the largest fusion experimental reactor in the world.
Hayward Tyler’s booster pumps will be an integral part of the drying system for the Tokamak Cooling Water System (TCWS). The pumps will be designed, built and examined at Hayward Tyler Inc in Colchester, Vermont, USA.
Hayward Tyler and Energy Steel are both part of the Engineered Pumps and Motors Division of Avingtrans plc.
