Amarinth has completed a US$1.5 million order from Armada Madura for six API 610 VS4 vertical pumps for a new FPSO being built for India’s Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Limited (ONGC).

Two of the six API 610 VS4 pumps are pour level depressant pumps that are 18m in size and the other 4 are methanol raise pumps which may be 10m long.
digital pressure gauge of the pumps have PT100 temperature sensors that have been designed and built alongside the length of the pumps to monitor the temperature of each bearing individually.
The 18m lengthy pumps incorporate a supporting system of brackets that Amarinth has designed which attaches every pump to its tank during set up making certain that because the pump is lowered into the tank it stays perfectly aligned, lowering vibration and wear throughout operation.
Once assembled, the pumps were independently witness examined and authorized by DNV at Amarinth’s facility in Rendlesham, UK. The pumps were then disassembled into 3m segments and shipped to Singapore where the FPSO (floating manufacturing storage and offloading unit) is being constructed.
The pump supply and set up had to align with the FPSO build schedule. Because of the size of the pumps, they had to be put in into the vessel’s tanks by way of the deck before one other deck above the pumps could probably be constructed. digital pressure gauge was completed efficiently over the Christmas interval with Amarinth’s Engineering Commissioning staff supporting the client with the installation and commissioning.
The FPSO will be positioned within the KG-DWN 98/2 field, approximately 22 km off the east coast of Kakinada, India. The vessel is designed to produce as much as 90 000 barrels of oil per day (BOPD) and have a 1.3-million-barrel storage facility. It shall be equipped to handle the monsoon situations prevalent on the field.
