Mexico City, Mexico, September 22, 2022 – Manchester City’s global charity initiative, Cityzens Giving, and Official Water Technology Partner, Xylem, are delighted to announce the expansion of Xylem Water Heroes Academy, a global initiative in ten cities using the facility of football to sort out local water challenges.
Since its launch in 2021, Xylem Water Heroes Academy has engaged over 75 younger leaders and delivered vital water education to greater than 6,000 younger folks in five cities: São Paulo, Mumbai, Cape Town, New York City and Shanghai. The expanded network, which now additionally contains youth-led projects in Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Cape Coast, Kuala Lumpur and Melbourne, goals to positively impression 20,000 extra younger folks over the subsequent four years.

Valeria, a Young Leader with love.fútbol stated: “We want all the youngsters here to remember that responsible water consumption is essential, and so they should take care of it. We obtained training from Man City coaches and learnt several video games that teach youngsters about water conservation via football. We are really pleased and thankful that Man City and Pablo Zabaleta visited our community.”
Later this season, City followers may have a chance to be taught more about the 5 new Water Heroes Academy tasks and vote for his or her favorite young water heroes.
