Mexico City, Mexico, September 22, 2022 – Manchester City’s world charity initiative, Cityzens Giving, and Official Water Technology Partner, Xylem, are delighted to announce the growth of Xylem Water Heroes Academy, a worldwide initiative in ten cities using the facility of soccer to tackle local water challenges.
Since its launch in 2021, Xylem Water Heroes Academy has engaged over seventy five young leaders and delivered very important water education to more than 6,000 younger folks in 5 cities: São Paulo, Mumbai, Cape Town, New York City and Shanghai. The expanded network, which now additionally contains youth-led projects in Mexico City, Buenos Aires, Cape Coast, Kuala Lumpur and Melbourne, goals to positively impression 20,000 more young people over the following four years.

More than 20 million residents do not have sufficient water to drink for nearly half the yearand one in five people have access to only some hours of working water from their taps every week.<br/>This challenge will see Young Leaders from love.fútbol use specifically adapted football video games to coach young folks in the neighborhood on accountable water consumption, in addition to the importance of secure water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH).<br/>Zabaleta took part in a youth-led football and water competition and engaged in a Q&A session with young individuals, before learning a traditional Mexican dance.<br/>Reflecting on his visit, Zabaleta said: “Meeting the Young Leaders in Mexico City was an amazing experience. The way they are utilizing football to show kids in regards to the significance of water is inventive and provoking, and it’s nice to see this unique initiative from Cityzens Giving and Xylem expanding to extra cities.  <a href=เกจวัดความดันน้ำ are so engaged with supporting their group and to have the flexibility to contribute in a small method was a privilege.”
As part of the exercise in the country, Young Leaders, Xylem workers and fans from Manchester City’s Official Supporters Club in Mexico City additionally joined forces to repaint the El Coyolito pitch and create a water-themed mural.
In addition, City in the Community coaches delivered training to forty Young Leaders in Mexico City, sharing expertise and knowledge in management, group soccer and WASH. This was followed by a three-day digital Summit, connecting Young Leaders and Xylem experts from all ten cities to share ideas on tackling water challenges via soccer.

We received training from Man City coaches and learnt a quantity of video games that train children about water conservation by way of soccer. We are actually pleased and thankful that Man City and Pablo Zabaleta visited our community.”
